The Elena Baltacha Academy of Tennis or EBAT as it has become to be known is the only tennis academy of its kind in Great Britain and based in Ipswich Suffolk. EBAT provides very high quality tennis programmes to young girls whose families do not have the financial position to afford these opportunities. All funds coming through the academy is re-invested, EBAT is a non profit making tennis academy.

The academy programme is based at The Ipswich Sports Club on Henley Road, Ipswich and offers pastoral care, medical screenings, Sports Science support, strength and conditioning, injury prevention programmes and tennis technical squads and individuals. It prides itself on having the most comprehensive parent and player educational programme in Great Britain which includes player emotional support, psychology, nutrition and tennis lifestyle programmes.

The academy team and programme is run under the watchful eye of Academy Director and touring WTA coach Nino Severino who launched the academy in 2010 with Elena Baltacha who is currently the British No.1 and WTA professional touring player. EBAT has applied for full charity status and expects to achieve this very shortly, full details of our charity registration number will be placed on our website once received.
